birds and mural plan

My sister-in-law is having a baby
and she asked me to do a mural for her nursery!

I am so excited because she wants a tree!

here is a sketch of it...

a big tree on one wall with simple leaves and birds in the brances

she also could have a few little birds on top of the window...

and a few little butterflies with the little trails...

still need to plan where on the walls these go...

 some sample butterfly sketches

and a few of the birds that could sit it the branches...

and I got so excited, that I made her a few little birds in my messy way...

maybe she can use them in the bathroom or something :)

Murals

Giving starts at home, 

so I practiced a word mural at our house - 

with a quote in our kitchen 

Mira brought this home from daycare...

thank you for the food before us. 

thank you for the friends beside us, 

thank you for today.

so much to be grateful for each day and now we can be reminded every day. 

this "practice" came due to a gift to a charity

Hope House (a space for teen moms.)

 this is their slogan that I put on the wall in an office

this is the bible verse they wanted in the kitchen.

I was glad to give a gift of art.
